In reality, BitTorrent protocol was never designed for that sort of thing. ![]() It has been deemed bad or taboo because some people choose to do questionable things with the protocol. BitTorrent protocol has long been stigmatized. Pretty much every single distro has a few torrents up so that you can download your favorite distribution without having to worry about consuming a ton of bandwidth. Torrents are an integral part of the Linux community.
